"I am virtually pain free"

About: Adult community health services / Musculoskeletal physiotherapy service Bridgwater Hospital

(as the patient),

I suffered with back problems since I was 17. Now nearing 40 I am virtually pain free. I spent most of the time being given pills to numb the pain but it was Bridgwater Community Hospital who wanted to know why my back hurt and how to fix it. I had physio after both my children and I am more than pleased with the results. This service should be offered as postnatal care to all mums as standard - maybe in the form of classes.

Hello,

This story was submitted to Patient Opinion by the Somerset LINk, on behalf of a Somerset patient who has contacted us as part of our 'Patient Stories' project. We will be keeping a record of all stories submitted, and all responses from providers.

Thanks very much to the person who submitted this story, which will be fed back to the people who provide the service. It's really good to hear positive stories and I'm very pleased that your back is now so much better!

Best wishes,

LUCY

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to share your experience of Bridgwater Hospital and the Physiotherapy department. I am pleased to read that you are making a good recovery following ongoing back problems.

I am able to inform you that I have shared your posting with the Matron of the hospital and asked that it be shared with the physiotherapy department also.

It is always good to receive positive feedback from those who access our Trust services.

Should you require further assistanct in the future, please do not hesitate to contact the Patient Advise and Liaison Service, and we will be able to help you.
