"life threatening"

About: Queen's Hospital, Burton Upon Trent

What I liked

the paramedics who took me there. they were efficent, professional and thorough in their medical assessment

What could be improved

having access to a consultant in the department who was polite, who was able to demonstrate some clinical examination skills.

Anything else?

as a nurse I was appalled by the lack of care and attention I recieved upon my emergency admission to A&E. The nurses were professional and polite whilst the admitting consultant was not only arrogant but lacking in clinical examination skills. It was only my prescence of mind to eventually take myself to another hospital where they were able to diagnose a life threatening condition, treat me which ultimately saved my life. Thanks Burton Hospital!
