"Poor service & lack of data security"

About: Croydon University Hospital

What I liked

The staff in x ray and the doctor i finally saw were professional but the overall service was dreadfull

What could be improved

I visited A&E and whilst i understand the department is extremly busy the service was dreadful.

Upon arrival i gave a short summary of the accident and was advised there were 4 people ahead of me. After 2.5 hours when i still had not seen anyone i asked the same receptionist if she knew how much longer or how many people - she advised there were again 4 people ahead of me, when i calmly pointed out this was the same as when i arrived she "grumpily" advised she did not say that! I do appriciate they get alot of abuse but thats no excuse to talk to other customers in a similar way and as if we are stupid.

it was finally over 3 hours before i saw a doctor and at no time did i see a triage nurse or anyone else to assess the problem...i dont feel this is satisfactory.

when i did see a doctor he was very helpful and dealt with my injury but whilst dealing with me was also trying to help 2 other patients...not great when you consider senstivity of patient data.

on this issue the "back door" to the triage room was also open into the treatment area so we could hear everything which was being discussed!

I have visited Croydon University Hopsital before when it was Mayday and it still has a way to go to improve the customer experience, simply changing the name doesnt do that
