"Hillingdon Hospital deferring outpatient appointment"

About: Hillingdon Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I am writing this as it is not the first time Hillingdon Hospital have done this to myself or family.

My husband and I are trying for our 4th baby. After much pestering my GP referred us to the fertility department (although we had had to wait much longer than the PCT recommended 6 months).

We were seen at begining of August and the consultant ordered tests (internal ultrasound, HSG xray, a blood test and a test for my husband). The consultant said he wanted to see us in 3 months to allow time for the tests to be completed. Before leaving the hospital I was given an appointment which was already closer to 4 months than 3.

The appointment was for the end of November, but I have just received a letter from the hospital saying they have changed the appointment to the end of January - which will then mean it will be more than 5 months between appointments (about 22 weeks).

No explanation given of course. I am going to contact PALS asap.
