What could be improved

I couldn't get basic information about waiting times from them. I called to bookand was given a provisional date for an initial consultation (discussion) but they could not tell me how long I would have to wait for an endoscopy procedure. They also wasted my timeand the NHSs by giving me wrong information: they said to me that NHS Choose & Book could tell me what their waiting times were. I called Choose & Book who told me that onlythe hospital had that information. I called BMI again but they said they couldn't tell me.

Interestingly, the second time I called them, they assumed I was a private patient and began giving me costs and dates for procedures. Once I explained I was coming via the NHS ,they said they could not tellme how long it would be.

I was very unimpressed that they could not give me even this basic informationand and felt as if NHS patients might be treated as second class citizens.I decided it did not bode well and declined to book an appointment.
