"Excellent treatment, excellent care."

What I liked

The ward, (16), and all areas off it were spotlessly clean and cleaned several times a day.

For all the staff nothing was too much trouble, they obviously enjoy helping people. Nurses and doctors visited regularly and I was kept up to date with test results and ongoing treatment. Staff often worked over their shift times but there were never any complaints from them. There were some "difficult" patients while I was there and all staff treated them with patience and dignity.

My husband who visited daily was also treated with kindness and kept informed of my progress.

I was pleased that students from UEA are given to opportunity to talk with and examine patients (with patients' permission of course). I saw a total of 14 students (not all at the same time!!) and I hope they all do well in their exams which were pending.

I would definitely recommend this hospital to anyone who needs its services. I live in Lowestoft and it is good to have such an excellent hospital so close.
