What I liked

I found the Cromie Ward staff to be reassuringly competent at solving problems and the relatively minor medical emergencies that I experienced. As each shift changed, and a valued member of a shift went home, I worried that there wouldn't be someone of equal competence to replace them. There always was - often more than one.

I had always thought that a hospital stay was something to be dreaded but the staff on Cromie Ward managed to enable me to have a pleasant stay by looking after me well. They created a very nice atmosphere.

What could be improved

The food.

There were delays in one or two procedures but I put this down to staff shortage - everyone seemed very busy.

Anything else?

I will almost certainly have to spend more time on Cromie Ward in the next few months and my worries about the hospital experience have been swept away by the competence and friendliness of the ward staff.
