What I liked
The only reason that 42 people would recommend this hospital is because of the Day Surgery unit which I myself have used and found to be absolutely faultless.
What could be improved
A relative of mine was admitted to Darlington following a stroke. The rehabilitation they received was nothing short of shocking.Stroke patients are assessed by newly qualified physiotherapists who have no senior supervision and are rushed off their feet.Government guidelines state that stroke patients should receive a minimum of 45mins treatment every day.At Darlington you are lucky to get 10 mins 2-3 times a week.
How do they get away with providing this level of service, with no expertise and no time to treat the patients.
Anything else?
If a relative of yours has a stroke then get them transferred to James Cook Hospital.
"The stats on this hospital speak for..."
