What I liked

The consultant that I saw was very polite and helpful - they answered all my questions and took their time to explain processess even though the hospital was very busy. The nurse that i saw in A & E was extremely supportive and helpful and kept me informed and fully communicated with at all times.

What could be improved

Comments made by nursing staff about how lucky I was and how grateful I should be to have two children, even though I had suffered miscarriages in the past, and was currently in the proces of having my third.

I was shown to my room in Stour ward and not given any more infomation, it was 2.30am and I had no idea what was going on. I was left to close heavy shutters across all the windows.

I went to bed and was woken an hour later by a nurse to ask me for personal details etc. as the consultant had made their own and they couldn't find them.

Scanning facilities are not available at the week-end, only Monday to Friday 9 - 5.

Anything else?

I was prescribed 100 tablets, and told to take 2 a day for 7 days only. What a waste of 86 tablets.
