What I liked
The first time I was admitted to this hospital for chest pains I was very satisfied with the doctors and nurses there. In fact i made it my duty to return with a box of chocolates and a card to show the staff my appreciation.
Two years before I had both of my cataracts done at May Day.I was lucky to have a brilliant eye surgeon.
Recently in summer I was admitted once more. The doctor was a real old fashioned doctor. Very professional and good bedside manner. The nurses on the ward needed more training. They were not up to his standard. The support staff at his day clinic (for high blood pressure) which I attend is excellent.
What could be improved
Tonight I went to A&E because I had a bone in my throat. The nurses need training. Nurses
in the third world articulate much better than the nurses I experienced tonight. As to the doctor, his behaviour was not professional. He sent me home even though my blood pressure was over 200. His manner was contemptuous and before he called me in he was parading up and down the passage passing both hands through his hair like a prima donna.
