"Four months gone and I am still waiting for an appointment"

(as the patient),

After accidentally having a piece of glass stuck in my heel, I went to see my doctor at Coleridge Medical Centre who took an X-ray and asked me to ring Dart to make an appointment to have that piece of glass removed.

I rang DART but couldn't get through, then I got a letter the week after stating that an appointment had been made for me on the 11th October.

Two days before my appointment, I rang DART again enquiring about parking, the Lady at reception told me my appointment had been cancelled. Four months gone and I still have that piece of glass stuck in my heel with no appointment.

Was DART ever going to tell me my appointment had been cancelled had I not rang to enquire about parking?

How do they think I feel, having a piece of glass stuck in my heel for almost 5 months?

I really am very sorry to hear that your problem has not been resolved. It does sound very uncomfortable and the story that you have outlined above certainly doesn't sound right.

I would very much like to look into your situation in more detail so that we can find out what has gone wrong and see if we can sort things out for you.
