What I liked
I'm 50/50 as to whether i would recommend it.
I had a very quick labour and so was lucky enough to have one midwife from start to finish which was fantastic. She was brilliant, very supportive, accepted my decisions, didn't try to push me to have an epidural or anything i didn't want.
What could be improved
The aftercare wasn't so good, i was on victoria ward and i found this to be chaotic, it was very noisy and busy, it was dirty, and the midwives often gave conflicting info and advice.
Additionally to this i stayed the night and the next morning had to get my own breakfast, when i was in utter agony with over 20 stitches due to an episiotomy and a tear! They said they didn't have time and i should be ok, but i wasn't and that wasn't taken in to account. As a 1st time mum i needed a bit more support and reassurance as to what's normal, but that help wasn't there. They just didn't have time for one on one care.
