"Thank you to Lani the nurse in North Tees A+E"

I took my son to North Tees hospital A+E. My son is 26 and has learning disabilities.

He had abdominal pains and was quite nervous, after assesment we were shown to a treatment room where we met a nurse called Lani.

Lani was wonderful with my son and spoke directly with him and immediately put him at ease, she explained very carefully to him what tests were going to be done and that everything would be fine.

Lani took her time to ask my son if he was comfortable, how bad his pain was and asked if he felt too hot or too cold. She also explained to me that she was there if we needed her and just to ask for her.
