What I liked

I was seen within 5 minutes of my appointed time.

What could be improved

The attitude of the gyneocologist that I was referred to was unacceptable. I was referred by my GP, who along with the nurse had examined me a few weeks ago. They referred me to the gyneocologist here as I had a painful labial tear from childbirth that needed correcting with surgery.

The gynecologist didn't even look at the GP notes in front of them. Instead I had to explain the whole story again. Then they begrudgingly examined me, they made it very obvious that they didn't want to. While examining me they told me that it was impossible to get a labial tear during childbirth as the labia is nothing to do with it. How absolutely ridiculous. I was so shocked that I didn't argue. They then had the cheek to say that what I needed was cosmetic surgery and that I would need to go privately. Ignoring the fact that I am in pain or what GP suggested.

What an ignorant person. I now have to go back to my GP and be referred to another clinic.
