"Fractured hip"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary / Accident and emergency

My husband 73 was ambulances to LRI A and E with broken hip.

Excellent treatment by ambulance paramedics, seen quickly at LRI. Transferred to ward 32 for operation.

Stayed in LRI for a week where he received excellent care before being transferred for rehab.

Only negative thing I can say is that a bit more room round beds in Ward 32 would be helpful. A bit cramped..Generally as good an experience as you could expect.

Dear reviewer,

Thank you for taking the time to share yours and your husband's recent experience with us. It's always helpful to hear the opinion of family members, as well as that of our patients.

We are really pleased to hear you experienced a friendly, attentive and efficient service from everyone within the NHS from paramedics to ward staff. We have shared your comments with the A&E managers, as well as the matron for ward 32 and the head of trauma orthopaedics, to share more widely with the team. Receiving positive feedback for their hard work is always greatly received and helps to boost morale :-) We are aware that some of the bays on our wards can feel a bit cramped when you take into account personal items, visitors and hospital equipment and this feedback has been noted.

We wish your husband a speedy recovery, good health to you both.
