"Endoscopy"

About: Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead)

I visited the department on 20 April 2017 never having an upper endoscopy before I was told all sorts of horror stories.

But from the moment I walked into the department i found the staff to be very nice and have a brilliant attitude the nurse that delt with me was very knowledgeable about the procedure and help put my mind at rest.

Then when entering the room where the procedure took place i was greeted by two more smilling nurses one who was the endoscopist who once again explained everything which was going to happen during the procedure.

The nhs should be proud to have such a department like this.

Many thanks for taking the time to share your positive comments about your experience and our staff at the hospital.

We will pass this over to our team in endoscopy.
