"Brilliant Staff"

About: Dorset County Hospital / Accident and emergency

Last night my husband was rushed to Dorchester A&E suffering a possible stroke. The Doctors and nurses were absolutely brilliant. No delay whatsoever and they looked after my husband extremely well. I could not have wanted or expected any better service. They also kept me fully updated all of the time. Afterwards my husband was admitted to the Stroke Unit for 24 hr watchful care. It was a TIA thank goodness but I am so very grateful for such wonderful support and service. Thank you so much. I cannot thank you all enough for helping us. Thankfully you are there for us and you are appreciated.

Dear Angie

I'm sorry for the delay in responding to you; I have been having technical difficulties when signing in!

I'm so glad to hear that your experience in the Emergency Department and the Stroke Unit with your husband in April was so positive. It is good to know that he received excellent care with no delays at what must have been an incredibly scary time for both of you.

I will ensure that your comments are passed on to both ED and Stroke Unit staff, who I know will be delighted to read this. I am glad to hear that it was not a stroke but a TIA, and hope that we will continue to provide both your husband and yourself with the best possible care here at Dorset County Hospital.

With very best wishes,
