"Die reconstruction - ward F1"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital / Plastic surgery

I attended ward F1 for Diep reconstruction following chemotherapy treatment for Breast cancer and I just want to say a massive thank you for the outstanding care I received during my stay.

The staff was always professional, courteous and patient. I really appreciated the idea of being put in a room with other ladies who had Diep reconstruction as well as I feel this helped make my recovery go faster.

The ward was clean and the food was of a good standard, especially the soup and puddings. I liked the fact that I could choose the food I wanted from a menu.

If there was one thing I would improve it would be to give the patient more information about the purpose of the PICO device which was attached to my tummy dressing.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on the NHS Choices Website. Your comments have been forwarded to the staff in the Nightingale Centre, who I know are always appreciative when patients, relatives or visitors take the time to let us know about their positive experience.

Thank you
