"Ultrasound appointment at Rhematology department"

About: Southend Hospital / Rheumatology

A letter was received from the department after attending an appointment for an ultrasound. Unfortunately the letter received did not reflect the consultation fully. There was also no mention of my reporting I had been taking anti inflammatory medication, and pain occurred when I had been sitting for a period of time. The doctor only mentioned I experienced difficulties in the morning. They stated a MRI scan maybe requested.

I had a follow up appointment booked to see a consultant in July 2017 however although I mentioned this to the doctor in their letter they have discharged me. Surely discharge plan should have been discussed at the appointment.

In contrast to my above comments I previously received very good care from a consultant from the department who identified other health issues leading to diagnosis & treatment.
