"Almost tricked into abortion for no reason"

About: Worcestershire Royal Hospital / Gynaecology

was sent to emergency gyna unit due to pains during early pregnancy by my doctor, when arrived they did a test which came back negative I informed the doctor I had done 6 positive test and my doctor had done a positive test also, doctor didnt seem to believe me, but did do a blood test and sent me home.

phone call next day to say I was pregnant and to go in for a scan. Scan showed that there wasn't anything in my uterus yet but I did have some free fluid and a cyst on one ovary. I was sent home and told to come back next day for blood test to see if my HCG levels had gone up.

they rang the next night to say my levels had gone up but not by much, I explain that my mum and sister had the same issue but both went on to have normal pregnancy's, and I was also unsure of my dates and could have been anywhere between 4-7 weeks. they asked me to go back down the next day and I asked why as its a 38 mile round trip, they said it was to talk about my options which I knew were to either wait it out and see if everything was okay or if it was ectopic or to have an abortion, I explain very clearly on the phone that I didn't want to have an abortion as they had no proof that it was ectopic and I wanted to wait and see as the pains had gone and I felt fine. the nurse said they would speak with the doctor and ring me back which they did, I was told I had to go back down the next day, I made it very clear I did not want an abortion.

I got down there the next day to find out that I had been booked in for an abortion, I was very angry to say the least and the doctor tried their best to pressure me into having an abortion and even tried to get my partner to force me, I asked the doctor for proof or evidence it was ectopic which they could not give me, I discharged myself and left.

throughout the next week I had phone calls from the unit asking me to go back for more blood test, which I refused to as I have no trust with these doctors.

I have now been seen at another hospital and i am glad i did not give in to the doctor as i am having a healthy pregnancy!

i am shock that a doctor tried to get me the doctor and aborted healthy babies.
