I was on holiday with my husband and daughter in a remote cottage in Swaledale, and last Friday evening my daughter called 999 because I was not well.
The ambulance arrived within the hour and because I had a temp of 39 degrees the paramedics decided it would be prudent to get me checked over in hospital.
From my arrival in A and E at 9.30 p.m. till we left and around 12.15 am, I could not have had better treatment.
The staff were kind and efficient.
I was in Bay 8 and I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to the Doctor and all nursing staff who cared for me.
Fortunately, all that could be found was slightly low potassium levels, and so I was able to go back to our holiday cottage and home again to St. Albans on Saturday. I am now back to 'normal'!
Thanks particularly to the nurse who on learning we had had no dinner bought us some sandwiches.
Thank you very much, you should be very proud of your A and E staff.
