"Male day care ward. Medical unit 1"

About: Royal Lancaster Infirmary / Urology

My husband had to attend for trial without catheter. All the staff were excellent. Every step of the way was explained and reexplained with endless patience.

The removal was efficient and timely. Then a wonderful consultant explained the options in more detail.

Self catheterisation and the different possibilities.

Cups of tea, offers of biscuits, toast etc were constant for the patient and myself.

The consultant took the anxiety completely away, they checked whether the self catheterisation replacements could be delivered to our home.

The consultant did a scan to check the bladder was emptying properly.

Showed a video of self catheterisation etc

Nothing was too much trouble.

Excellent service and treatment and this should be congratulated.

We were very impressed last weekend on March 26 th when the emergency happened but today was another brilliant experience
