"I have been attending this hospital for 16 months"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital / Urology University Hospital Of North Durham

(as the patient),

I have been attending Sunderland Royal  Hospital for 16 months with kidney stones. The quality of care I have received has been is appalling. I have been past from one consultant to another (4 in total) without any explanation. I had a short term stent fitted which was not to be in for more than 3 months and was in for almost 4 months. Hence I was admitted to university hospital Durham for 7 days with an infection from stent. I was then transferred from Durham to Sunderland to have stent removed and then back to Durham to be monitored for 24 hours.

I have now been told I have further multiple stones in right kidney but they are not going to treat me until they give me problems. However they are, but consultants wont listen to me. I have now spoke to my GP and have been referred to a hospital of my choice.
