Today (29.3.17) I visited the hospital for a blood test.
I have had a fear of needles (and hospitals) since a child.
I usually faint, I become extremely anxious, if I could I would avoid the situation.
It is all very traumatic for me.
I would prefer to go to my GP for a blood test as they know exactly what I'm like and I find it easier to cope and in addition I am also able to lie down when actually having the test.
However, I really needed to get this sorted asap so went along very early to Solihull Hospital.
I informed the member of staff of my phobia, who was very reassuring and supportive of my problem.
What a star, I skipped out of that department, not feeling in the least unwell or faint, such a relief.
I cannot tell you. Thank you so much.
