"disappointed and angry"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

I attended for a l/hip THR Feb 2016 in March 2016 it dislocated while I was laying in bed at night. The hip and leg went into almost unbearably painful spasms. An ambulance was called but didn't arrive for at least 3 hours, the operator kept saying a clinician would ring! When an ambulance finally arrived I was taken to Chesterfield Royal where I spent another 4hrs or so spasming before a surgeon arrived to put the dislocation back. During the procedure they decided to cut the adductor Brevis tendon which is one of the muscles that stabilises when walking so now I lurch from side to side when walking and I am unable to turn over when lying down as I get a most severe ripping pain from the inside top thigh down the back of my leg. At my last appointment with the surgeon, I was told it would be unlikely I will be able to walk properly again and it was inadvisable to have another operation. The ward I was put on after the op was horrendous with not enough nurses . The Physiotherapists did not provide the casted brace the surgeon asked for 3.5 days as they could not read their writing! What happened to telephones? I could write more but no space.
