I fractured my arm in Feb. '17 and was treated at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The A&E department was busy but the staff was polite and very efficient - I didn't have to wait long before I was seen by a specialist, then X-rays were taken and a cast was applied. All was done and dusted within 90 minutes! A special thanks to the member of staff in the fracture clinic for the comfortable, tidy cast that they applied.
I have private health insurance and have since been to a private clinic for follow-up treatment. In my opinion the staff at QE are more skilled and experienced than what I currently receive at the private clinic. Most noticeable is the new cast that was applied at the private clinic - it is unsightly and uncomfortable - nowhere near as perfect as the tidy, comfortable cast that was applied by the member of staff in the QE fracture clinic!
Thank you to everyone in the A&E department for doing a sterling job.
