"Unfit A+E - Seizure and blackouts"

Hello I am leaving a review to point out the fairly poor standards of care from the ED when brought by paramedic I was v disoriented, coughing and had upto 5 seizures in this week.

I had my obs taken and told to wait at nurses station. in which I was transferred into the main waiting area to see the doctor, it appears they don't seem to believe me or they don't understand when I explain I had a seizure they instead say you have to be seen by your gp or they can not keep me on the ward to monitor me because I am obviously "faking" my seizures according to a few of the nurses or doctors in there as I happened to have a seizure on coming round no nurse came to assist me and when I had my first blackout in 2014 and was unconscious!!

I also experience recurring electric nerve pains although I take medication to reduce this. I was given IV fluids to reduce the pain although some oxygen could have been given.

In the past year when I was seen by a senior doctor who told me that with my muscle spasms and the pains I have been experiencing, they may want to do an op including a CT scan of my stomach to see why keep getting acute pains in my stomach and the heart rythms seemed different.

I confirmed I would be happy to go ahead with this and get to the root cause. Whenever I need to be seen by ED if there is an urgent need I don't feel my health issues are being dealt with appropriately other than a general check up. I have nothing against the doctors, I have respect for them it is when they are misinformed or not providing the correct care. I know if I have serious medical issues and need to go to A+E I can accept if some of my obs are normal they may want to send me home. Doctors and nurses need to monitor the fitness and condition or complaint of the patients condition and transfer them to the appropriate ward or AMRU until they feel well enough to leave hospital.
