My grand-daughter (27) was under QE for 3 years following a couple of accidents with her back. When they happened I knew (yes me, little old lady) that she had suffered some kind of Spinal Cord/Nerve injury. because of the symptoms that followed her injuries. No one would have it though. She was first sent to see a Rheumatologist (???????) who said that as her MRI did not show anything wrong it must be a Skeletal/Muscular problem. This young lady was admitted on an almost regular basis (every few weeks) and had to be put on a Morphine drip. Fast forward, since she moved to Dartford, she has had only two appointments and they have immediately identified her with Spinal Cord Damage. We are over the moon that someone has at long last taken a proper look. All QE wanted to do was send her to Physio without identifying the cause of the enormous pain she was suffering.
So it's Hats off to Darent Valley Hospital and Thumbs down for QE
