"Excellent Doctors and Nurses"

About: St James's University Hospital / Accident and emergency

Just wanted to give a massive shout out and say "thank you so much" to the doctors and nurses in A&E at St. James's Hospital last night. My mother was admitted at 7pm accompanied by my dad and I. We were still there at 1am and although my mum was still in A&E at that time the staff had got her a bed, made us all a drink and a biscuit and really could not have been anymore attentive. They are constantly under so much pressure but everytime they came to check my mum they had a smile and took the time to explain what they were doing and why. So once again from the bottom of my heart "thankyou".

I am very happy to read that we the care your mother received from our Accident and Emergency Department was caring and professional and that you felt that the staff were friendly and attentive at all times.

I have taken the liberty of sharing your words of support and encouragement with the Matron for Urgent Care at St James's Hospital and asked that this is shared with all the team. I know that all the staff will be delighted to know they delivered the care that met all your expectations.
