"Out of hours emergancy appt service"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford) / Accident and emergency

I wasn't feeling too great, which went to feeling awful very quickly. I was going to ring my doctor the next morning but a persistent mother told me to use the 111 phone service. (Glad I did) the member of staff on the phone was fantastic, they listened, advised and seemed to actually care. The member of staff arranged an emergancy appt with the WHH for 9.45 (just over an hour from the call (better than my doctor survey service!) once I got the the hospital, the receptionist at a&e could see I was in pain and directed me to the OOH doctors area. The receptionist here also could see I was in pain and was polite and helpful. I was seen straight away and the doctor who saw me lifted my spirits, the doctor was polite, funny and educated me on the problem (I am a curious person) and how to prevent and cure it. I left the room with the medication provided and I left with a smile, the whole process from start to finish was superb. Too many people complain about NHS services and care...I cannot fault the service I received. A huge thank you to everyone involved and a great appreciation to all the hard working staff working late night to fix us when we aren't 100%!
