"Great care at Minor injuries"

About: New Victoria Hospital / Minor injuries unit

(as the patient),

I attended minor injuries in March after falling down stairs and hurting my ankle. I checked in at the front desk and taken in for review by a senior nurse who examined my ankle and asked me questions.

He sent me for an X-ray, I waited about 10 mins and had my X-ray.

I went back through to see the nurse straight away and he explained based on X-ray and my symptoms that I had torn the ligaments in my ankle

He gave me pain killers and a sheet of helpful tips to recover. He also explained how best to get over the injury.

Everyone who I came into contact with was helpful and professional. The unit was clean and well maintained.

A credit to our NHS. Thanks you.

Many thanks for taking the time to share your experience about the Minor Injuries Unit. It is encouraging to read that everyone you came into contact was helpful and professional. This is the type of care that we aim to provide to all our patients.

I will make sure that we share your feedback with the staff in the Minor Injuries Unit and I will also share your comments about the cleanliness of the Unit with my colleagues in Facilities.

Best wishes
