Arrived in AE unit by ambulance on Dec 10th. Was taken to 3 separate sections for examination and questioning by very kind friendly staff. Was given plaster cast, a room on my own, where all the staff wanted me to stay over night as a precaution but I did refuse their offer.. Returned to hospital on Dec13th when seen by Registrar who diagnosed a mid shaft numerous fracture which had been 'cast' in the wrong place by Emergency. After op taken to Orthopaedic Ward 1. Staff there all kind, helpful and caring, (Senior Nurses in particular) Wasnt allowed to leave, despite my pleas as staff were not happy with blood pressure or oxygen intake. Made me drink litres of water which became the joke of the ward! We had so much fun, laughed so much, in the end I didn't want to say goodbye! February 9th 2017 discharged. Am proud owner of an almost invisible scar sewn by the Registrar, a lovely person a joy and privilege to know. All staff were exceptional.
"My compliments"
