I origionally came into treatment in November 2016. I had become alcohol dependant over the last few years. Due to a marriage break up and beravements and loss of finances, mental health problems and becoming estranged from my children too.

for the first month I continued to drink heavily a bottle of spirits a day. I was sectioned in January of this year, after being discharged from Hospital I was welcomed back with open arms.

The CBT based programme has helped me get in touch with my feelings and emotions, after suffering with a lifelong history of mental health problems etc etc.. Addiction to alcohol was literally destroying my mind and killing my body. I am over 2 months sober now, and I literally believe this programme has saved my life.

Thank you so much for taking time to feedback. It's fantastic to hear that SRP has supported you to get sober and is providing you will tools to manage your emotional wellbeing. As service manager I am pleased to hear that you were welcomed back into service, I am sure you are well aware of the cycle of change, doing SRP, so we should always stay welcoming, supportive and responsive even if abstinence and mental stability isn't achieved immediately.

Keep working on your recovery goals, your 2 months sober will soon reach 3, then 4 and so on. Don't forget you can also attend the fellowship meetings or SMART Recovery.
