What I liked
I have a referral from my GP for a minor day operation since MAY 2008.
My appoinment has been cancelled twice and the last time, 30th Jan 2009 actually ON THE AFTERNOON I was admitted and waiting at the hospital.
As off today, 5-MAR-09 you have not informed me of an alternative date neither I appear to be on the WAITING LIST.
What could be improved
1/ RESCHEDULE MY OPERATION AUTOMATICALLY.
2/ INFORM ME OF NEW OPERATION DATE WITHOUT ME HAVING TO CHASE YOU.
3/ IS YOU HAVE TO CANCEL DO IT EARLY IN THE DAY OF THE OPERATION -NOT AFTER 20 HOURS OF HAVING ME WAIT WITHOUT NO DRINK & NO FOOD
Anything else?
coming into hospital means arranging for time off work for myself and a friend to pick me up on the day. Cancelling on the actual AFTERNOON of the operation day (due to lack of hospital beds) is not acceptable to my employer nor it should be acceptable to the way you operate.
