"Dr's do not get enough credit!"

About: Heathfield Suite / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I had an appointment today within the Gynaecology clinic at Ayr Hospital and just wanted to write in to say what a positive experience I had. Dr smith made me feel comfortable, answered all questions I had and didn't make my appointment feel rushed. I feel that doctors and nurses more often than not get negative feedback and wanted to let them know that people really appreciate their work sometimes!

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Appreciative Patient 123,

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us how you feel about your care. I will indeed pass this on to the team to let them know they are appreciated, I am sure they will be very pleased with such positive feedback.

Best wishes,

Eunice

Dear Appreciative Patient 123,

I have passed this to several folk, including one of the mangers for this area, Frazer McJannett. He asked if you could possibly take a few moments to email him with some details so he can identify the specific members of the team involved. Fraser's email address is - Fraser.McJannett@aapct.scot.nhs.uk and it would be helpful to know your name, address, date of birth and the date you attended surgery.

Thank you again for being in touch,

Kind regards,

Eunice
