"No liaison with GP sevices"

About: St Mary's Hospital (HQ) / Accident and emergency

There was no link between GP service & hospital A&E resulting in duplication and expensive scans which probably weren't necessary. Hospital consultants seem to have a tendency to start from scratch which is wasteful & expensive.

Felt really sorry for the family in next bed. The family were dealing in 2 languages plus nurses & doctors with varying levels of English fluency. I listened to the enfolding story all afternoon....wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't pull through given the complete lack of continuity.
