"Excellent Experience - Cateract Day Surgery"

About: The Maidstone Hospital / Ophthalmology

Following a thorough eye-gouging during a rugby match with Maidstone, I attended a day-surgery to remove a trauma cataract.

Whilst I wouldn't choose to have the operation ever again, the overall experience was alleviated by the consultant, nurses and admin staff in the unit.

From the moment I arrived, their friendly and accommodating nature made me relax, reducing my tension.

The nurses and consultants/surgeons' understanding and knowledge together with their ability to explain the procedure in a reassuring and straightforward way eased my concerns.

The whole experience was timely, easy and successful.

Everything, with the exception of the operation itself, was great and I wouldn't hesitate to choose Maidstone for a procedure in the future.
