"I cannot praise this dept highly enough"

I was discharged today after a four day stay for treatment for a heart attack.

The care I received from all staff in and associated Ward 2 was fantastic, absolutely nothing was to much trouble, I was treated with kindness compassion and respect from the housekeeping staff right through to the senior consultants.

Having a heart attack is a frightening experience for anyone and if I wanted reassurance, even in the middle of the night there was always someone to listen to me and help calm my fears.

If I couldn't sleep the night staff were happy to make a cup of tea.

I was discharged with full instructions for my after care and ways to manage my condition.

Fairfield hospital is a lovely local facility and long may it continue to be so
