"Relative receiving really top notch intensive care"

About: The Tunbridge Wells Hospital

We have been extremely grateful for the absolutely excellent care provided to our relative in ICU. The staff are all very caring and professional, and have at every turn treated our relative with great dignity and respect which is so important when the patient is not always conscious or able to respond. Staff have explained what they are doing and what is going to happen next both to the patient and to the family so this reduces the terrible stress of finding a loved one to be suffering from a life threatening condition.

The hospital generally, and in ICU, looks very clean. Staff are very particular about following good hand hygiene practises and infection control procedures. Again this is very important when the patient's immune system is so compromised.

(The picklist re which department we visited does not have an ICU option)
