"Outstanding Care - Emergency Gynaecology"

I have received outstanding care from A&E, Emergency Gynaecology Department and Gynaecology Ward. I sadly suffered a miscarriage and underwent a D&C to remove the pregnancy. This was carried out and I went home the same day. Unfortunately the procedure was unsuccessful, I developed pain and heavy bleeding and had to return (this can happen with procedure, as some of the pregnancy tissue remained) We arrived at A&E and were seen within 15 minutes and allocated a bed. I saw a Gynaecologist in A&E very quickly, was treated with compassion and dignity and given pain relief quickly. I was transferred up to the Emergency Gynaecology Unit and received excellent care, a scan confirming the problem and put into the Ward. I had another D&C the following day and was kept in the ward for 3 nights. The care I received in both the emergency Gynaecology unit and the Gynaecology ward was outstanding. It was a very difficult time and the nurses were very caring, nothing was too much trouble and I received a very high level of care. I cannot thank the doctors and nurses enough who treated me. Extremely grateful for the NHS.
