"Excellent Care"

About: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary / Accident and emergency

Our first ever visit to an A&E department with our 4 year old child... We attended on a Friday evening and were amazed that the process took less than an hour.

We were seen promptly at main reception, straight through to children's, immediate triage, then to X-ray, child deteriorated and given a bed straight away, doctor immediately after that, then pain relief with a nurse, doctor returned to diagnose fracture, nurse returned promptly to give temporary cuff and collar, details taken for fracture clinic, able to leave.

We were so impressed with the high standards of service and care. The NHS is an invaluable resource. Thank you RAEI.

Thank you for taking the time to post your positive experience when attending the Paediatric Emergency Care here at Royal Albert Edward Infirmary with your 4 year old.

It will be a pleasure to pass this on to the Head of Nursing and Clinical Director for Unscheduled Care so they can make sure that the staff are signposted to it.

Kind regards
