"I am very disappointed"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Cardiac Catherterisation

(as a relative),

My father, who is in his 90s, was discharged from ward 2 Hairmyres Hospital and brought to Strathaven without a phone call to any of his children to let them know he was on his way, we were visiting the night before and there was no word of it, we have not been told about the outcome of his infection on his lung and his heart attack,  I am very disappointed.

Dear Georginay

I was really sorry to read about your experience, this does not appear to be the safe, effective, person centred care we strive to achieve. I know we can't change what has happened, however we can fully review this.

I wonder if you could share with me more details of you and your Dads experience to enable us to truly learn from your feedback. Can you please contact me on 01355 584499 or by e-mail anne.leitch@lanarkshire.scot.nhs.uk

I will fully investigate with the ward 2 team so they can reflect on this and prevent any reoccurrence.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Kindest regards,

Anne Leitch
