"Wrist Injury"

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I basically snapped my wrist in October 2015, I've had an MRI, been casted up and had an arthroscopy where it was determined that I need one ligament pinning back to the bone and my scapholunate ligament reconstructing. This was June 2016. They have since put off giving me the op I (now desperately need) to make me do physio which has only made things worse. I can no longer function properly, am constantly in pain and it's messing with my job. I had a date for 15/02/17 but it got cancelled yesterday, I'm so disappointed, that was the light at the end of the tunnel for me and now I don't know when I'll finally be out of pain. I have also had every. Single. Appointment. Cancelled or rearranged leading up to this and have also got in trouble for not turning up to consultant appointments which I was never told about.
