My first appointment at the clinic was cancelled due to staff off sick. This was re-arranged for a telephone appointment rather than face to face.
The staff member I spoke to over the phone mainly listened and asked questions but when they commented with 'advice' they sounded underqualified and like they didn't understand the situation as I had explained. After the conversation I was left feeling underwhelmed and not hopeful of any treatment. After a week, I received a letter saying that 'services offered by Talking Mental Health Derbyshire are not suitable for your needs'. Considering we discussed suicidal thoughts and feelings among other problems, I consider this gross misconduct.
"No help whatsoever."
