I was treated on the Theatre admissions unit yesterday .i was extremely nervous having had an operation go wrong several years ago. From the staff at the pre operation assessment to the staff caring for me on the day I cannot fault anyone. From arriving st the unit I was treated with care and understanding. The surgeon made a point of adding my husbands number to the phone to ring after the operation. When I was taken through to change I was unable to take my family member with me but looked after by a very caring nurse. Another nurse then collected me to walk me to theatre. I got very nervous just before the anesthetic and again a lovely nurse looked after me calming me down. In recovery I was slightly aware of staff who again seemed lovely. Once I was moved to the Ward to be monitored before going home one nurse who cared for me deserves particular thanks and praise.. For what wasn't a pleasant thing to go through the staff got me through the day without too much stress Thank you all you deserve medals.
