"A & E care , Banff and Turriff"

About: Chalmers Hospital / Minor Injuries Turriff Hospital / Minor Injuries

(as the patient),

In the late afternoon  I had a fall from by bicycle near home, Cornhill, Banff. After seeing the damage at home I rang Banff Hospital but didn't have a reply. However, reception called back very smartly and asked me to come straight to them. The very kind nurse cleaned and dressed my wounds and arranged for a doctor at Turriff to put in stitches. At Turriff I was seen to immediately with kind attention by the duty doctor.

Please pass on my thanks to all who helped. Much appreciated.

kind regards

Dear On My Bike,

Thank you for taking the time to post your positive comments on Patient Opinion, it's always lovely for staff to hear that their attentive care has been appreciated. Sometimes it's the small kindnesses that make a big difference and I'm glad the communication between Turriff Hospital and Banff Hospital worked well for you.

I will pass on your thanks to staff at both Banff and Turriff Hospitals and hope that you are back on your bike soon.

Best wishes,

Kirsten

Update posted by On my bike (the patient)

Thank you Kirsten. I am very appreciative of the opportunity for this dialogue concerning my treatment. I feel that we are bombarded by media led (mis)information on many issues one of which is our health care. The delivery of the service and challenges in doing so are I am sure multi-faceted. What stands out is the professional approach and kindness in treating my minor injuries whilst ensuring that all issues had been covered. Mending rapidly thank you.

Kind regards

Dear On my bike,

Glad to hear that you are mending rapidly.

Patient Opinion is a great way for us to listen and engage with our patients and their families.

I agree there is a lot of media led (mis) information out there, and although we don't always get things right for our patients we do try.

Your story, and others like it, help us understand what matters to our patients and also encourage and enthuse staff do always do the best they can.

Kindest Regards,

Kirsten
