"My Hernia Operation."

I was greeted by the receptionist on my arrival, and shown to my room. The en suite room was very clean, very comfortable with a pleasant atmosphere. I relaxed, read my book and listened to a music channel on the wall mounted television, whilst sat comfortably in a reclining armchair. A nurse came and filled in the relevant form, and asked me if there was anything I needed. Shortly afterwards I was visited by the anaesthetist who briefed me on the procedure. The next visit was from a person who asked me if I would like something to eat after the operation. The surgeon came to see me, reassured me and asked if I had any questions. In between times the nurse kept calling in to see if I needed anything. After a short period of time, I was greeted by a member of the theatre staff who walked with me to the theatre, where the anaesthetist was awaiting my arrival. The next thing I remember was a nurse saying to me that the operation was complete, as I was waking up. I was taken into a recovery room, and then pushed back to my room in my bed. A nurse arrived and took my blood pressure, shortly after I was given tea and toast, and every half hour after that my blood pressure was taken. The surgeon then visited me, checked everything was all right, and I was given the ok for discharge. Finally, before leaving the nurse gave me my medication and explained how and when to take it. My whole experience of The Yorkshire Clinic was very good. I was nervous for days prior to arriving at the Hospital, and as an NHS referral, I feel privileged to receive treatment here, and would thoroughly recommend this hospital to all patients Private or NHS. My thanks go to everyone who made me feel cared for and comfortable at a time when I was feeling unsure and uncomfortable.
