About: Heartlands Hospital / Accident and emergency

My 87 yr old Dad was referred by GP to Heartlands on 10/1/17 and taken straight to AEC. We were met by the most professional,caring & friendly staff. Dad was treated with respect & dignity throughout not only Tuesday but our return visit on Wednesday following his scan for query DVT. All of the nurses were caring & put him at ease even making time to get him a cup of tea! Massive thank you to the consultant & the team not only from Dad but from our whole family ...... NHS getting very bad press at the moment but Dad received 5 star treatment from this fantastic team. Also a special thanks to the member of staff in X-ray (scan) who was very lovely to Dad & thanks for finding him the wheelchair & pushing him round to AEC.

Thank you so much for your kind comments about your father's treatment in Ambulatory Emergency Care at Heartlands Hospital.

I am so pleased to read that all of the staff were professional, kind and caring throughout, and that he was treated with dignity on both days that he attended.

I will be delighted to ensure that your lovely feedback is highlighted to the Matron for Accident and Emergency, as well as the Clinical Director, and also the Radiology Management Team so that they can communicate your feelings to their respective teams who work very hard to provide a positive patient experience often under difficult pressures.

I hope my actions are acceptable and thank you once again for taking the time to provide your feedback, it is very important to us.
