I have recently been discharged from The New Cross hospital. I was very worried as this was my first ever NHS hospital visit - I have had private health care my whole life. Fair enough the building on the outside is dull however inside the ward it was immaculate. So clean and neat. I received excellent Care and the food was really good. I'm a vegetarian and they made me a cheese omelette for dinner - very nice and perfectly acceptable. Breakfast was toast with real butter and jam with a cup of tea just as I would have st home. Medication was always on time and the nurses are well trained, friendly, attentive and so caring! Not so pleasant having an operation but the staff, nurses and doctors certainly go out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as possible after an operation.
The anaesthetist was excellent allowing me to ask questions and informing of every step. I used the hospital shower room it was so clean and the water was the perfect temperature. I would recommend this hospital and its staff for giving excellent Care to their patients - thank you. You have changed my view of the NHS.
"Excellent Care"
