"visit to urgent care centre"

About: King George Hospital

my wife and i were told to go to KGH urgent care centre by NHS direct on 3 january 2017after she woke up with an overall body rash after a CT scan the day before. we were asked to arrive by 6.20 am. and not seen till 8.10 am. I am not complaining about the care we received which was very good but the fact that the waiting room was freezing cold and made my wife feel considerably worse. she did ask a nurse about it but nothing was done.everybody in the room was complaining about the cold

Thank you for your email and I am sorry to read of your comments regarding you and your wife’s recent visit to the Urgent Care Centre at King George Hospital.

I am disappointed to hear that the temperature in the waiting area caused your wife to feel more unwell during her wait to be seen.

I will pass your comments onto our estates team so that they can look into this matter.

Yours sincerely

Kathryn Halford

Chief Nurse
